Since I was young, I always loved reading comic books and watching cartoons, and eventually began drawing them.  I never imagined that my love would eventually become my profession, and I am so grateful that it happened that way.

I am originally from the Akron, Ohio area, and relocated to Palm Springs, California in 2008. I am not professionally trained - what you see is basic natural ability that has developed over a life-long method of observation and trial and error !

Prior to my career in art, I was employed in various retail ventures and did my artwork on the side. In 1995, after having my fill of retail, I accepted a job as staff artist at Canal Place, the former headquarters of the BF Goodrich tire company, in Akron, Ohio. My assignment was to create eye-catching murals to fill up many of the long corridors in the old factory complex. That led to many appearances in the Akron Beacon Journal, local television broadcasts, and my participation in the PBS documentary : " Inventive, Industrious, Inspired : A History of Akron ".

I am now a freelance artist, which gives me more time to work on my own art.  Because of the freedom of freelancing, my creative life today is much more interesting since the diversity of the work is so great.
